Principle
As intelligence becomes abundant, enterprise performance diverges because transformation capacity — not intelligence — becomes the scarce resource. Organizations that repeatedly convert intelligence into execution compound their ability to create value, while organizations that fail to transform compound organizational inertia. Enterprise value increasingly reflects transformation capability rather than access to intelligence.
Definition
The Divergence Acceleration Law™ states that as intelligence, capital, technology, and information become increasingly abundant and accessible, differences in organizational performance expand rather than contract — because transformation capacity becomes the primary constraint on value creation. Core Equation: Enterprise Value Creation (EVC) = Intelligence × Transformation Capacity™ × Execution Continuity™. If Transformation Capacity approaches zero, incremental intelligence produces diminishing enterprise value regardless of intelligence quality or quantity.
Operating Law
When a previously scarce resource becomes abundant, competitive advantage migrates to the next limiting factor. AI dramatically reduces the scarcity of: knowledge, expertise, analysis, software development, research, content creation, and decision support. As these capabilities become widely available, they cease to be sustainable competitive advantages. The new constraint becomes the organization’s ability to transform. First Principle: Intelligence does not create enterprise value. Transformation creates enterprise value. Intelligence is an input. Transformation is the conversion process. Enterprise value is the output.
