Canon II — Laws

Principle

Every projected dollar of enterprise value shall be traceable to one or more independently observable value creation mechanisms. No projected value may exist without an identifiable mechanism.

Definition

The Mechanism Traceability Law™ is the second constitutional law of Unlock Science™. It requires that every Unlock Potential™ estimate be decomposed into the canonical 12 value creation mechanisms: Capital Allocation™, Operational Transformation™, AI Transformation™, Portfolio Simplification™, Commercial Expansion™, Innovation Pipeline™, Governance Transformation™, Organizational Transformation™, Platform Effects™, Future Market Optionality™, Ecosystem Leverage™, and Trust Infrastructure™.

Operating Law

The 12 canonical mechanisms are the controlled vocabulary of Unlock Science™. No mechanism outside this taxonomy may be used in an Unlock Potential™ estimate without formal constitutional amendment.

Implications

  • 1.The 12 canonical value mechanisms: 1. Capital Allocation™ 2. Operational Transformation™ 3. AI Transformation™ 4. Portfolio Simplification™ 5. Commercial Expansion™ 6. Innovation Pipeline™ 7. Governance Transformation™ 8. Organizational Transformation™ 9. Platform Effects™ 10. Future Market Optionality™ 11. Ecosystem Leverage™ 12. Trust Infrastructure™
  • 2.Every Lens Analysis™ mechanism recommendation must draw exclusively from this 12-mechanism taxonomy — not invent new mechanism language.
  • 3.Mechanism traceability enables the Opportunity Atlas™ to aggregate outcomes by mechanism type — creating an empirical corpus of which mechanisms work in which contexts.
  • 4.Each mechanism carries an estimated value contribution, execution probability, and time horizon — the three inputs to Realizable Unlock™ (RU™) calculation.
