Principle
Each stage of the Evidence Intelligence Pipeline™ shall contain a Trust Gate™ before information advances to the next stage. Information shall not advance through the pipeline until the trust requirements of the current stage have been satisfied.
Definition
Trust Gates™ are the constitutional integrity checkpoints within the Evidence Intelligence Pipeline™. Nine constitutional Trust Gates™: Signal Gate™ (validates Transformation Signal™ quality and classification), Evidence Gate™ (validates evidentiary integrity and classification level), Memory Gate™ (validates knowledge preservation completeness), Identity Gate™ (validates permanent addressing per LKAS™), Relationship Gate™ (validates knowledge connectivity), Interpretation Gate™ (validates reasoning quality and assumption transparency), Decision Gate™ (validates decision visibility and evidence support), Execution Gate™ (validates blueprint completeness and resource alignment), Learning Gate™ (validates outcome capture and learning integration).
Operating Law
The purpose of each Trust Gate™ is to preserve the integrity of organizational knowledge. A failed Trust Gate™ pauses pipeline progression — it does not skip or override. This is the constitutional basis for the Company Identity Verification Gate™ already implemented in the Truth Engine™: that gate is the constitutional Identity Gate™ (Stage 5) applied to the Lens Analysis™ pipeline.
Implications
- 1.Trust Gates™ make the Evidence Intelligence Pipeline™ auditable at every transition — not just at the final output. An organization can inspect which gate failed and why, enabling precise diagnosis of where intelligence integrity was compromised.
- 2.Constitutional connection to existing platform: The Company Identity Verification Gate™ (Truth Engine™) = Identity Gate™ (Stage 5). The Retrieval Pipeline Inspector™ = Signal Gate™ (Stage 2) audit log. The Ground Truth Object™ = Memory Gate™ (Stage 4) output. The Evidence Architecture™ info bubbles on TCS™ scores = Evidence Gate™ (Stage 3) display. Every Truth Engine™ component already built maps to a constitutional Trust Gate™.
- 3.Trust Gates™ implement the Verification Principle™ from EIAP™ (TI-021 Corollary 5): 'AI-generated intelligence creates value only when organizations possess adequate verification infrastructure. Trust is produced by evidence. Not generation.' Trust Gates™ are the constitutional verification infrastructure.
- 4.Future platform implication: Every Lens Analysis™ result page should eventually show a Trust Gate™ status panel — which gates passed, which were flagged, and what the user can do to strengthen pipeline integrity for this specific analysis.
Typed Relationships
Constitutional integrity mechanism derived from Evidence Intelligence Pipeline™ — one Trust Gate™ per stage transition
Implements Evidence Sufficiency Law™ — Evidence Gate™ and Learning Gate™ are the pipeline enforcement mechanisms for TI-015
Implements Trust Infrastructure Principle™ — Trust Gates™ are the operational architecture of trust infrastructure in the intelligence pipeline
Extends Addressability Principle™ — the Identity Gate™ is the LKAS™ enforcement checkpoint within the pipeline
Applies to The Lens™ — every existing Truth Engine™ component maps to a named Trust Gate™
